Campbell Area Police Report

Burglary/residence
11/19 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
El Patio Drive
A suspect was seen walking into the backyard of the residence. When victim came home she found her home had been ransacked.

Assault with a deadly weapon
11/20 at 3:30 p.m.
West Hamilton Avenue and Darryl Drive
Six unknown suspects approached the victims while they were waiting for a bus and asked them where “they’re from.” When the victims tell the suspects that “they’re not,” the suspects try to go after a victim but he’s surrounded by the other victims. The suspects punch, hit with a golf club and another club or tire jack and then kick the victims when they were down on the ground. Victims were also forced into on-coming traffic.

Driving under the influence
11/21 at 10:15 p.m.
San Tomas Expressway and Hamilton Avenue
A 53-year-old male suspect was stopped for vehicle code violations and found to be driving under the influence. Suspect was booked.

Unauthorized possession of marijuana
11/22 at 10:04 p.m.
North Central Avenue
Two 18-year-old male and female suspects were in possession of marijuana and cited.

Drunk in public
11/23 at 1:29 a.m.
East Campbell Avenue
A suspect got in an argument. When contacted by officers he was found to be drunk in public and arrested.

Grand theft
12/26 at 12:15 a.m.
Orchard City Drive
The victim reported that an unknown suspect stole her purse containing her driver’s license and iPhone.

Petty theft
12/29 at 7:13 p.m.
West Hamilton Avenue
A suspect entered a store, selected two bottles of vodka, and then fled without paying.
