Quito Little League Baseball Registration for 2009 Season
Boys and girls in Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, W. San Jose and Saratoga - check our website and boundary map to see if you can play in our league.  Quito is the “kid friendly league” where we focus on baseball fundamentals and teamwork. We have many great kids and families that participate in our league.  Quito has built new training facilities and upgrades to our fields behind Rolling Hills Middle School.  Quito welcomes new kids to baseball and Tee-ball with special training programs. Lots of fun guaranteed. Ages 5 – 12, register at www.quitoll.org. Tryouts for ages 7-12 on Jan 24/25. Come and join the Quito family and register today.

Girls’ U12 Soccer Tryout
Santa Clara Sporting 97G White, a Class 1, Division 1 competitive girls’ soccer team, will be holding an open tryout session on Sunday, Jan. 18 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Curtis Field, 890 Pomeroy Ave. in Santa Clara, CA. Experienced players born after July 31, 1997 are eligible to participate. If interested, please contact Dave Ballard at daveballard12@sbcglobal.net or 408-799-1213 to register.

Youth Soccer Tryouts for Pacific Soccer Academy
Pacific Soccer Academy will be holding tryouts at APJCC, 14855 Oka Road, Los Gatos, CA 95032 on Dec. 13 – 14, Jan. 31, and Feb. 1. Age groups/times are posted below:

Age Group/Time: (Fall 2009 ages)
B/G U9 – 9 - 10:30 a.m.
B/G U10 - 9 -10:30 a.m.
B/G U11 - 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
B/G U12: 12 noon - 1:30 p.m.
BU13: 1:30 – 3 p.m.
BU14: 3 - 4:30 p.m.

2009 Almaden Valley Girls Recreational Softball Registration is open
This year the AVGSL has implemented an online registration system. Please visit WWW.AVGSL.ORG to register or to find out more information regarding our league.  We are accepting registration for ages Under 6, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14. Everyone is welcome to join our league – from first-time player to all-star - because we have a spot for you.  AVGSL’s main goal is to ensure that all players are in a fun, positive environment while learning and expanding their softball skills. AVGSL promotes a sense of belonging for everyone. We emphasize teamwork and the sense of individual success that contributes to team sports. No player will sit out more than two innings during a game, which offers each girl the opportunity to make contributions to their team while participating in a large part of all activities.  If you have questions, please email president@avgsl.org and we will be happy to help.

Sports Briefs listings are subject to the following fee structure: $25 per month, per publication for the Evergreen and Almaden Times; $10 per month, per publication for the monthly newspapers.
