Disturbing the Peace
1/2, Central Avenue
A 33-year-old suspect was involved in a verbal argument with his mother that became violent. He was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace.
Brandishing a Weapon, Theft, Battery
1/4, Michael Drive
Officers responded to an apartment on a call of a woman being dragged (forced) into a vehicle by a suspect with a knife. Upon arrival the suspects had left in a vehicle. An officer stopped the suspect vehicle at Winchester and Campbell Avenues and arrested a 20-year-old suspect.
Corporal Injury to a Child
1/4, Pope Court
The 36-year-old suspect beat her daughter with a belt and a mop handle. The injuries were confirmed and the suspect was arrested.
Vandalism
1/6, S. Winchester Blvd.
Two suspects, 17 and 15, were contacted by officers for curfew violation and found to be in possession of six spray paint cans. They admitted to tagging bus stops. They were cited and released to their parents.
Terroristic Threats, Vandalism
1/7, Esther Avenue
A suspect threatened to burn down his girlfriend’s house with her in it. He met the victim at the corner of Esther and Hamilton Avenues to return a coin collection he stole from her the night before. After giving her the coins back, he threw a large rock at her car causing large dents and scratches. The suspect was not located. A report was sent to the district attorney.
Petty Theft (Mail)
1/19, Hacienda Avenue
A grocery bag containing opened and unopened mail was located. The mail was determined to be stolen. The postal inspector was contacted and additional victim notification if pending. A report was taken.
Warrant
1/20, N. First Street (Police Station)
A 20-year-old white female adult came into the Campbell Police Station to complain that the police have been continually harassing her by driving by her house and attempting the contact her on the phone. She was advised that the reason for the attention was because she was wanted for two outstanding drug warrants. She was arrested.
Vandalism
1/21, Pamlar Avenue
A suspect set fire to a paper bag with dog feces in it and put in on the front porch of the victim’s residence. The suspect then fled. There was no damage to any property.
Vandalism
1/21, Almarida Avenue
A suspect, perhaps the same as the suspect above, set fire to a paper bag with dog feces in it and put it on the front porch of the victim’s apartment. The suspect then fled. There was no damage to the property. A report was taken.
Grand Theft
1/24, Salmar Avenue
An unknown suspect took approximately $7,000 to $9,000 in coin receipts from Custom Vending Systems. A report was taken.
Vandalism
1/27, Denver Drive
A suspect was doing construction work at the victim’s home. When the victim didn’t pay for the suspect’s work, he returned and damaged the wooden concrete forms he had installed. A report was sent to the District Attorney.
Burglary
1/28, Camden Avenue
An unknown suspect removed a computer and cash from inside the salon. A report was taken.
Robbery
1/28, W. Hamilton Avenue (Shell Gas Station)
A suspect walked behind the counter and demanded the clerk give him money from the register. When the suspect saw the clerk push the alarm button he left the store and was last seen leaving the area in an unknown make blue vehicle. The suspect was described as an 18-21-year-old male, 5’8”, slender build with brown hair wearing a black and white jacket, green army pants, baseball cap and a bandanna covering his face. A report was taken.
