CAMPBELL CRIME REPORT

Attempted Burglary
Jan. 8, Gwen Drive
A window was pried, but no entry was determined.

Vandalism
Jan. 9, Sheffeld Drive (San Jose Christian School)
An unknown suspect spray-painted trees in the playground grass area of the school.

Unattended Death
Jan. 10, Campbell Avenue at Kim Louise Drive
A transient was reported as unresponsive at the bus stop. Paramedics attempted to revive him unsuccessfully. There were no signs of foul play.

Vandalism
Jan. 11, Adrien Drive
An unknown suspect used an unknown object to shatter the rear window of victim’s Toyota.

Burglary/Vandalism
Jan. 12, Hamilton Avenue at Phoenix Drive
A 33-year old male suspect was heavily intoxicated when he walked into a business and approached a 3-4 foot tall jewelry display. The suspect ripped the display off of the counter that contained the jewelry and ran out the door. He was seen running down the street and into his residence. When officers arrived the suspect attempted to hide from the officers. The jewelry display was located on top of his bed in his room. The suspect was arrested.

Armed Robbery
Jan. 13, S. Bascom Avenue (Taco Bravo)
Two suspects entered Taco Bravo via an unlocked back door armed with handguns at 1:50 a.m. (the restaurant stays open until 3 a.m.). They proceeded to the front counter wearing bandanas over their faces and made away with the $500 cash. No one was injured. A report was taken.

Indecent Exposure
Jan. 17, Adler Drive
A male suspect stopped his car and exposed himself to children playing outside. The suspect was described as a white male in his 40s, weighing approximately 200 to 240 pounds, with salt and pepper hair, wearing glasses and a checked blue and green shirt. His vehicle was a white full-size pickup truck, with a possible extended cab. A report was taken.

Recovered Runaways
Jan. 22, Camden Avenue at Highway 17
Two 14-year-old subjects were seen walking on Camden Avenue late at night. Officers made contact and found that both were runaways from San Jose and both had possession of alcohol and cigarettes. Subject 1 was sent to the Children’s Shelter and Subject 2 was released to his parents.

Vandalism
Jan. 27, W. Hamilton Avenue
On Jan. 26 a group of students threw a rock that shattered a vehicle window while they were walking home from school. Through extensive follow-up investigation, all four suspects, two 13-year-olds and two 14-year-olds were identified and cited at their residences.

Vicious Dog
Jan. 28, Campbell Park
The police responded to the park on a report of a vicious dog. It was determined that a Pitbull and a Boxer got away from a residence and the two made it to the creek trail where the Pitbull attacked another dog. The owner of the dog that the Pitbull attacked was bitten on the hand while trying to fend off the attack. The Pitbull aggressively approached several others using the trail. Animal Control responded and took both dogs away.
