Campbell Area Police Report


Attempting to commit a crime / homicide / kidnapping / armed robbery / assault with a deadly weapon

01/15 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
East Hamilton Avenue

The Campbell Police Department is investigating a kidnapping/robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Fry’s Electronics, 600 E. Hamilton Ave. An adult male was forced into a vehicle where he was physically assaulted by several male subjects. The victim was able to escape from the vehicle in the area of 761 S. Capitol Ave. He was transported to a local hospital and was in stable condition. The suspect vehicle is described as a greenish/blue “Aerostar” type van with sliding doors on both sides. The victim described one of the suspects as a Hispanic male, late 20s early 30s, 5’7”, 180 pounds.

Hit and run accident with property damage, no injuries/driving under the influence
1/18 at 4:30 p.m.
Creekside at Hamilton Avenue

A male suspect, 49, was driving recklessly and collided with another vehicle. Suspect was arrested.
Burglary/vehicle
1/19 between 12 a.m. and 8.58 a.m.
Rincon Avenue
An unknown suspect smashed the window of victim’s Toyota and took a GPS system and miscellaneous bedding.

Assault with a deadly weapon
1/21 at 6:30 p.m.
Budd and Kenneth Avenues

A male suspect, 21, was spinning donuts on Kenneth Avenue and was confronted by the victim who took photographs with her cell phone. Suspect drove at victim and opened the car door as he passed, striking the victim’s leg and causing minor injury. The suspect was located in Saratoga and booked.

Driving under the influence
1/22 at 10:49 p.m.
Campbell and Central Avenues

A male suspect, 28, was driving erratically downtown and determined to be DUI. Suspect was booked.

Loitering outside a public restroom
1/23 at 11:55 a.m.
Pruneyard Center

A male suspect, 60, put on a woman’s wig and grabbed a purse. Suspect was located coming out of a women’s restroom wearing a wig, false breasts, and makeup. Suspect was booked.
