Here are a few happenings around City Hall and in the community for your information this month:
Our City Manager, Dan Rich, has appointed Capt. Greg Finch as the city’s next police chief.
The current police chief, Dan Gullo, will retire this month. Capt. Finch was first hired as a police officer in the Campbell Police Department in 1987 and was promoted to sergeant in 1996. He was then appointed police captain in 2006. Greg received his BA from San Jose State University, was born and raised in San Jose where he lives with his wife and three daughters.
E-Waste Day is coming! There will be a free collection of e-waste on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at City Hall, 70 N. First St., Campbell. Bring your old electronic items for collection as proceeds benefit the Campbell Historical Museum. For more information about what’s acceptable, visit www.ASLRecycling.com.
Finally, the Valentines Fun Run/Walk is here again! On Feb. 14, please join the festivities at the 32nd Annual Valentines Fun Run (10K) or Walk (5K0 at Campbell Park. For more information or for sponsorship opportunities, call (408) 866-2104.
