Terra Polaris Original Arts Gallery presented Surreal Moments art show recently. The reception showcased new works by oil painter Frank Sustarich as well as owner Pirjo Polari-Khan’s sculptures.
“The creation of all art starts with the artist’s acquisition of certain mental prompts,” said Los Gatos artist Sustarich who has found inspiration in something as simple as crumbling cement. “As a non-objective artist, I must strive to find the basis for inspiration from within myself. The internal inspiration is a mixture of my life experiences and personal interests which include physics, astronomy, electronics, electro-acoustical music, literature and others.”
Polari-Khan opened the Terra Polaris Original Arts Gallery in July 2008.
“My goal for the gallery is to provide original art that inspires you,” said Polari-Khan. “Every month I select one or two artists with the highest quality and original work and showcase their work. The show themes are carefully selected and the artists are inspiring with the highest quality art.”
The Surreal Moments art show will run through March.
