What is the most extravagant birthday party you or your children have ever been to? How does it
compare to the parties you or your family had when you were younger?
(Asked at Dolphin Pet Village)
“My most extravagant was my 21st birthday when four guys took me to San Francisco in a limo to celebrate. We went to the Fairmont Hotel to the Tiki Room where it rains and danced and had champagne. Doesn’t compare to my other birthday parties, which were backyard parties with cake and we went hiking or swimming.”

“When my twins turned seven, we had a birthday party for them with a Polynesian theme, and there were these birds that skated and rode a unicycle, they raised a flag with their beak and there were hula dancers. My most extravagant party when I was younger was when I had three friends over for cake and I got to pick what we would have for dinner. ”

“On my 21st birthday, my friend took me to a gay bar and I had a great time. No one hit on me. The birthday I remember the most was my best friend’s 10th birthday, when I got sunburned so bad I was out of school for a week.”

“The most extravagant birthday party I’ve ever been to was the one I threw for my dad’s 60th birthday. It was a surprise party and family came from all over the country. A typical party when I was a kid was (small) family stuff in the backyard.”

“It was a 40th birthday party I was invited to in Palm Beach given by some affluent people. It was sexy and exotic and they served very good food. My parties were always just cookies and cake, nothing spectacular.”

“My own 40th party. It was a catered pool and BBQ party with a chef, games and a 60s theme. Austin Powers came and sang, we played foos ball and we had balloons on the wall with names and ages on them. When I was a kid, we had parties with cake and a couple of friends, small private parties.”

“My most extravagant birthday party was when I was 10 and we lived in Almaden. All my family and friends came, about 70 people. We went to a park and played on the playground and we had a pinata. Most of my parties were small, so it was nice to have something very large and I felt loved.”
