With a growing reputation as a family festival like no other, newcomers can expect the unexpected.
It’s not unlikely for festival goers to boogie on down Campbell Avenue at a moment’s notice by participating in one of the many Strutters Processions or dancing to lively jazz, blues and Cajun-zydeco music. From every corner expect to hear banjos, wash tub bass, piano, accordion, guitar, rubboard and drumbeats!
The festival headlines Motordude Zydeco, a distinctive yet roots-oriented music blending traditional zydeco with original songs and rhythm and blues. In total, nine different musical acts will be performing all weekend long on Main and East Stages. Other musical performances include, Dixieland sounds by Peninsula Banjo Band and California R. Breakout, Sauce Piquante performs Cajun, Lemo featuring Calypso, piano jazz by Sam Rudin and CA Repercussions playing traditional marching band music. The Community Stage will host a variety of live acts featuring talented youth from the local area.
Nearly 150 artists and craftsman from throughout California will participate in the event, with over three-quarters of the exhibitors having participated in the event in years past. A juried arts and crafts fair that draws hundreds of applicants each year, every possible medium of work will be represented, including painting, pottery, photography, sculpture, metal work, jewelry, furniture, porcelain and ceramics, wearable art and much more. “Each year, we see new artisans along with regional favorites,” said Campbell Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Betty
Deal.
This year’s Boogie On The Bayou will have bountiful traditional food and drink including beignets, crawfish and zucchini, red beans, jambalaya, seafood gumbo and for the brave Alligator-On-A-Stick. In addition, plenty of beer, wine and specialty drinks will be on hand.
Bring your family and friends along with your decorated umbrellas or select your party favors at event Boogie Goodie Shacks. And don’t miss CrawDaddy’s Corner an interactive play area just for the kids.

Max Stock achieves rank of Eagle Scout
Max Stock, a member of Campbell’s Boy Scout Troop 339, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout thanks to the completion of his Eagle Project. He designed a new shed to hold the tools for the Los Gatos-Saratoga Parent Participation Preschool garden. He then coordinated volunteers and supervised as they spent the rest of the month of February building and painting the shed. The preschool was so impressed with the work that they have asked the troop to send them any more scouts that need to work on an Eagle project!
Scoutmaster James P. Loweecey will recognize Max at a Court of Honor on May 20.
