CAMPBELL CRIME REPORT

4/17: Assault
S. Bascom Avenue (Coffee Society)
A suspect was intoxicated and calling people names outside of the coffee shop. At one point he approached a man (suspect 2) and began calling him names for no apparent reason. Suspect 2 warned suspect 1 “to get out of his space.” When suspect 1 failed to comply suspect 2 punched suspect 1 several times in the face causing lacerations and a broken nose. A report was taken.

4/21: Battery
Civic Center Drive
A 51-year-old victim and a 39-year-old suspect got into an argument over the clutter in the house. The suspect pushed the victim and she fell to the ground. No prosecution was desired from the victim. A report was sent to the District Attorney.

4/25: Child Neglect
Nido Drive
Two children (ages 1- and 3 years old) were found roaming in a parking lot of an apartment complex. The reporting party saw the mother leave an hour and 15 minutes before. She had not returned. The front door of the apartment was opened and no one answered when the reporting party called inside. The mother was eventually arrested and the children were turned over to Child Protective Services.

4/30: Vandalism
Westmont Avenue
Two newly planted city trees were damaged by an unknown suspect’s vehicle. The vehicle was last seen southbound on San Tomas Aquino Road. The suspect vehicle was described as a white Ford pick-up truck with a stripe down the side.

5/4, Assault
Camden Avenue (Jack-in-the-Box)
An unknown suspect described as a black male adult, thin build, wearing a red short sleeved T-shirt got angry when the victim, a worker at Jack-in-the-Box, asked the man not to yell through the loud speaker. The suspect got upset and attempted to climb through the drive-through window. The victim was closing the window to prevent the suspect from gaining entry when the suspect hit the victim in the mouth. The suspect then fled the scene. A report was taken.
