Henthorne home from Iraq
After a year filled with dusty tents and too-close-for-comfort mortar attacks—one of which landed less than 50 feet from his tent—U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Steven Henthorne of Santa Teresa is glad to be home. He celebrated with family, friends and well-wishers during an April 9 party at the King’s Head Pub in Campbell. Here, Henthorne and his mother Wendy Alvears thank Operation Care and Comfort Volunteer Program Coordinator Julie DeMaria for all the care packages he received while in Iraq.
