CAMPBELL CRIME REPORT
Petty Theft
May 1, Hamilton Avenue
The victim brought his car to a gas station on April 29 for an oil change. A portable DVD player and DVD were removed from the trunk. A report was taken.
Indecent Exposure
May 3, Latimer Circle at Latimer Drive
The suspect exposed himself to two neighbors and was subsequently arrested.
Battery
May 6, Bascom Avenue
The 18-year-old male suspect was upset that the victim was dating his former girlfriend. He broke the other man’s nose and caused a laceration to his head, which required stitches. He was arrested.
Endangering oneself
May 11, Campbell Avenue at Victor Drive
The suspect was walking in traffic without regard to his own safety. Upon contact, he stated that his jacket would protect him from passing cars. He was determined to be a danger to himself and taken to Emergency Protective Services for a 72-hour hold.
Arson
May 25, Elam Avenue
The reporting party saw a female standing by a fire that had been intentionally started on vacant property. When officers arrived they observed a female matching the description of the suspect fleeing the area. The caught the 36-year-old female and she admitted setting the fire and was arrested.
Petty Theft
May 25, Arroyo Seco Drive
While delivering phone books door-to-door the suspect stole the victim’s cellular phone that was located on her porch.
Grand Theft
May 29, E. Campbell Avenue, (Campbell Park)
The victim parked his car in the parking lot of Campbell Park, locked the trunk and went for a bike ride. When he returned he discovered that someone gained entry by unknown means (no force was obvious), and stole his wallet, cell phone, credit cards, etc. A report was taken.
