Grand Theft
May 30, Hamilton Ave. (Kohl’s)

An 18-year-old employee was caught not charging his friends for merchandise. He was arrested.

Child Neglect
May 31, Laura Drive
The female suspect left her five-year-old in charge of her four-year-old and two-year-old. The five-year-old called his father and told on his mother. A report was taken.

Child Neglect, DUI
June 4, Nido Drive
The 27-year-old male suspect (1) was put in charge of watching his two children, ages 4 and 5, and two other children ages 6 and 7. He and his 19-year-old friend (2) decided to leave the four children at home while they drove to a liquor store. The blaring music from the suspect 1’s vehicle caught an officer’s attention. He was found to be driving while under the influence and his passenger was found to have a no-bail warrant out for his arrest. The father mentioned that he had left the children back at his apartment and officers found two children running unsupervised through the apartment complex and the other two playing video games alone inside the apartment. About 40 minutes later the mothers came home and the children were released to their custody as it appeared that they were not negligent. Both male suspects were arrested.

Child Neglect
June 3, Alpha Court
The suspect allegedly locked the reporting party’s 11-year-old out of the residence and locker her six-year-old in a closet for a short time while she was watching them. A report was taken.

Drunk in Public
June 7, Los Gatos Creek under Campbell Avenue
A witness saw the suspect lean over the bridge guardrail and fall 30 feet to the ground below, then crawl 20 feet and stop. The suspect was extremely intoxicated and very obnoxious with the police, fire and ambulance personnel. She was taken to Valley Medical Center with a broken pelvis. A report was taken.

Armed Robbery
June 9, W. Campbell Avenue (Downey Savings)
A suspect described as a white male adult in his forties, 5’8” to 5’10”, 220-250 lbs. wearing a tan fishing hat, a green shirt and blue jeans entered the bank and approached a teller. The suspect produced a bag and demanded money and left the bank. The suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a black 2006 GMC Yukon.

Animal Theft
June 9, Campbell Avenue, (Campbell Park)
A 44-year-old Campbell woman stole the victim’s dog whom she believed was being mistreated by its owner. The victim had tied the dog up while playing basketball. The victim saw the suspect place the dog in her vehicle and confronted her. The victim denied taking the dog and attempted to drive away. The suspect then jumped into the back of the victim’s truck and she sped away. While the victim was in the back of the suspect’s truck he broke out the back window in an attempt to get the suspect to stop. The suspect drove to the Campbell Police Department and entered the front lobby holding the victim’s dog. After talking to both parties the suspect was cited and released for animal theft. The dog was returned to the victim because there was no indication that the dog had been mistreated in any way.

Armed Robbery
June 10, S. Winchester Blvd. (Chevron)
A suspect described as a black male adult in his twenties, 6 feet tall, 180 lbs. wearing a black do-rag, glasses, black sweatshirt and black sweat pants entered the gas station and pulled a handgun from his waistband. He took money from the gas station store clerk and fled in a Ford Mustang and was chased northbound on Capri. The suspect crashed at the dead end of Capri and then drove to De Carli Court where he fled on foot. A yard to yard search along with a canine unit and Air 2 did not turn up the suspect.

Sexual Assault
June 14, N. Harrison (Campbell Library)
A victim was studying in the library in November or December of 2005 when a suspect described as an Asian adult male in his forties, balding, 5’2”, thin sat down next to her and engaged her in conversation. The suspect then grabbed her foot and rubbed it against his groin. This incident was not reported. On June 14 the victim was at the library again and saw the suspect and the victim said the suspect tried to use the same verbal tactics again to get her to sit down with him again. A report was taken.

Domestic Violence
June 16, Latimer Circle
A husband and wife got into an argument. The husband locked the wife out of the house. The wife said that when she tried to crawl in through a window her husband punched her in the face but there were no visible injuries. A report was sent to the District Attorney.

Battery
June 17, Budd Avenue (J.D. Morgan Park)
A victim retrieved a soccer ball his team had kicked into the suspect’s picnic area. An argument ensued between the suspect and the victim. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male, in his twenties, struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and fled on food. The suspect was last seen getting into a white Dodge Charger.

Child Neglect
June 22, Hamilton Avenue
The suspect went for a job interview and left her daughter in her car unattended. Several witnesses found the victim in the car and took her into an office at the address. The child was transported to Valley Medical Center and released two hours later. The child was subsequently released to the mother at the request of Child Protective Services. A report was sent to the District Attorney.

Battery
June 28, McCoy Avenue
Two victims were walking home on McCoy at 7 p.m. when they were confronted by a group of seven individuals. They were asked if they had any money and stated that they did not. As they were walking away Suspect 1 tackled Victim 1 and punched her in the face. Victim 2 came to Victim 1’s aid and was also punched by Suspect 1. A report was taken.
