Westmont High School’s class of 2007 graduation ceremonies

Members of the Westmont High School graduating class of 2007 prepare to start the graduation ceremony at the Westmont High Football field on June 14.

The sweltering sun and a late start couldn’t put a damper on the activities as Westmont High School held its graduation ceremony on June 14 in the football bowl. Three hundred and twelve young men and women marched down the aisles to accept their diplomas and flip their tassels to signify the beginning of a new life.

For Activities Director Diane Sweeney the graduation was especially poignant. “This being my last year at Westmont, this has been an extra special class to me. They have been active all year, involved in many sports and made this one of the best years at Westmont High School,” she said.

Although every student is special, some stood out above the rest:

Valedictorians: Kevin K. Chen, Arianne Renee Dilts, Molly Louise Drucker-Rice, Alec Domenic Guraydin, Ena Hadziselimovic, Megan Hoewisch, Hay-Lian Bonnie Lau, Brian Lamson Le, Andrea L. Li, Brenna Marlene Moloney, Annalisa Marie Morris, Tarik Seref Onur, Christina Eunmi Pak, Jacob Publicover and Roya Vahdatinia
