Campbell Education Foundation selling community discount cards to local businesses
Editor,
The mission of the Campbell Education Foundation is to build, maintain and promote excellence in education through partnerships with parents, educators, businesses and other members of the community, for the benefit of the children of the Campbell Union School District. Our school district is large, comprised of almost 8,000 students. It encompasses parts of San Jose, Campbell, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Willow Glen and even Santa Clara.
We feel that a healthy community must be comprised of two strong pillars; education and business. They must be symbiotic partners, co-dependent, and must mutually benefit each other. In an attempt to better support our local business communities (while raising money to help fund art, music and technology in our school district), the Campbell Education Foundation has begun selling Community DVD/Discount Cards for $20.
Among the participating local businesses are the following: The King’s Head, Blendz, Campbell Tae Kwon Do Academy, Classic Car Wash, Courtside Club, Los Gatos Brewing Company and Zyng Asian Grill. We thank these businesses for the support they have given to education and hope to enhance their businesses by selling to the school community and other interested parties.
The CEF Discount Card can be purchased at The King’s Head at 201 Orchard City Dr. in Campbell or by contacting the Campbell Education Foundation at P.O. Box 1262, Campbell, Calif. 95009.
As an education foundation, we are trying not only to raise money from the community but also to give back to our community. We strive to form a partnership with the business community for our mutual benefit. Ultimately, this is done for the children in the Campbell Union School District.
