Rude people ruined grandmother’s enjoyment of Monroe’s graduation ceremony

Editor,
On Friday, June 17, I along with other members of my family, attended the promotion of my grandson from Monroe Middle School.

I arranged to get there an hour early to assure parking and seats. I reserved some seats in the front section on the west side. About 10 minutes before the ceremony a group of 10 people arrived and stood in front of us. Various members of the audience tried to them to move but they would not.

Pretty soon there was a wall of people blocking the whole area in front of us. The ceremony was ruined for me. This behavior is disgraceful and disrespectful. The problem should be addressed ahead of time. Perhaps a cattle prod would be effective.

I suggest that a certain area be roped off and designated as an area to stand and videotape and take pictures.
