“On behalf of the Campbell City Council, we would like to welcome you here to our city,” said Mayor Don Burr who was joined by council and chamber members, and the public. “We’re very pleased that you chose us and wish you a great deal of success.”
Mojo Burger
Mojo Burger’s new location is in The Pruneyard between Barnes and Noble and Trader Joes. Owner Peter Favre had sought the location for their first store five years ago but lost the site to Johnnie Rocket. Favre opened his first Mojo Burger on Snell in the Santa Teresa area and then a second on Bird Avenue in Willow Glen.
Along the way, Favre, wife Carole and her mom, Marilyn Larkins [known as Mr. Mojo, Mrs. Mojo and Grandma Mojo respectively] with their combined 38-years restaurant experience collected awards for their 100 percent natural Meyers Angus Beef with designations for Best Burger in Metro and Best Fast Food in Citysearch, and others. The restaurant also serves 100 percent natural chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, rice bowls and low-carb lettuce wraps. Last November, Favre put in his bid for the Campbell location and was chosen over dozens of applicants.
“We’re really excited to be here,” said Favre. “I love what I do and feel blessed. It’s [Mojo Burger] about quality with every burger and every customer is treated like your mother-in-law.”
Satura Cakes
Satura Cakes is also pleased with their new location in nearby downtown Campbell. And from the people who crowded the grand opening to try their delectable desserts with mouthwatering names like Mango-Coconut Mousse, Pistachio Bavorois, Green Tea Butter Cookies, Berry Blue Parfait and their signature Satura Shortcake, the public is as well.

“We are delighted to be here,” said Satura Cakes founder Hiro Tamaki who missed the refined desserts from his native Japan while working in Silicon Valley. “Please enjoy our Japanese European style baking techniques.”
Satura Cakes first opened in Los Altos in 2006 and then in Palo Alto. Three stores followed in Honolulu and now Campbell. Their website describes their products as, “Japanese innovations on European-style cakes.” The Satura mission is: never another ordinary bite. And not only are they delicious with the freshest local ingredients, each dessert is a mini work of art. That same finesse is also offered in their customer requested paninis, salads, espressos, teas and Vignette Wine Country Sodas. Earlier this year, Satura’s started offering cupcakes in a cup.
“You are brands we’ve wanted in Campbell,” said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Betty Deal. “We’re glad to have you here.”
Mojo Burger is located in The Pruneyard, (408) 626-9321.
