Bike MS: Waves To Wine Ride Celebrates 25th year
Bike MS: Waves to Wine Ride is celebrating its 25th Anniversary.  This ride takes you on an unforgettable two-day journey from San Francisco up Highway 1 to Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park and then to Healdsburg in Sonoma County.  More than 1,600 riders will cruise along scenic roads riding any distance from 40 to 175 miles.  Six full meals, generous amenities, stunning landscapes, stocked rest stops every 12 to 15 miles at spectacular sites, and spirited festivities with music and a beer garden are all included.  Bike MS raises money to fund cutting-edge research and provide services to help people with multiple sclerosis.

Out of the Darkness Community Walk benefits the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention by participating in the San Francisco Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Sept. 27 at Crissy Field.  Proceeds will benefit local and national prevention and awareness programs.  Registration will be held at Crissy Field at 8:45 a.m.  The walk will begin promptly at 10 a.m.  The VIP speaker is Senator Tom Torlakson and he will discuss mental health policy and actions that the State Legislature is taking on this important issue.  The event will also include music, refreshments and a thank you prize drawing at the end of the walk.  KTVU Fox 2 is the Diamond Media Sponsor of the event and John Sasaki of KTVU will be the Emcee.  Event sponsors include: John Muir Behavioral Health, Palo Alto Medical Foundation and UCSF.  To register, donate or learn more, please logon to HYPERLINK “http://www.outofthedarkness.org”www.outofthedarkness.org.

2008 Komen San Francisco Race for the Cure
