Changes are happening at the Campbell Historical Museum. Every fall a new exhibit opens at the old firehouse at the corner of Central Avenue and Civic Center Drive.

The finishing touches are being completed in the home life area of the museum presenting decorative arts. Ornamental and functional items made for practical purposes such as wallpaper, tapestries, furniture, quilts, ceramics and toys are carefully being displayed in one of the museum’s area. The whole museum is full of displays and the Ainsley House [across the street] is a walk through time of the Orchard City’s past and of the valley of heart’s delight.

Campbell Historic Museum and the Ainsley House is a division of the city of Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department. Its mission is an innovative and thoughtful interpretation of the history of Campbell and the surrounding area to visitors who walk through the doors. And there are many hands on displays available for interaction with guests.

The new exhibit opens Saturday, Sept.17 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be special activities for the family.
