Fall happenings in our fair city
By Jeanette Watson
Mayor
Hello, friends. Isn’t it amazing how quickly time flies? We are well into the fall season already and the holidays are now just around the corner.
The new mural at the Los Gatos Creek Trail Dog Park was completed last month. It looks wonderful as it features our four-legged friends at play. Whether or not you own a dog, please stop by and check out the artwork.
The City of Campbell is sponsoring its 5th annual community garage sale - (“Campbell on Sale”) on Saturday, October 14. Over 400 residents have participated in the past. This successful event has been popular because it enables residents to rid their homes of unwanted items and at the same time, puts some cash in their pockets… to spend in Campbell, of course! A reference guide listing all of the registered participants and what they are selling will be available on Wednesday, October 11th, at Campbell City Hall, the Community Center, Campbell Library, and local stores.
The Downtown Campbell Business Association is continuing its “First Fridays” summer event by holding an encore this Friday evening, October 6 in Downtown Campbell. Come and enjoy live musical entertainment.
And finally, don’t forget the Oktoberfest event on October 21-22 in Downtown Campbell sponsored by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce. This annual festival in Campbell is gaining in popularity, so come early and enjoy the festivities.
