Bella Casa moves to new store
Bella Casa, formerly the Bunny Hutch, has moved to 2890 Bascom Ave. from Cambrian Park Plaza. The store, on the border of Willow Glen and Cambrian Park, held an open house on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

| It was a busy open house on Sept. 26 with invitees purchasing all kinds of items for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Above, Bella Casa staff waits on customers while posing for a photo. The new store is full of light and appears to have more floor space even though owner Jenice McCardle says it is about the same. The new, roomier quarters are in a brand new building full of large windows so that the store, which sells home decorations and furniture, can show off its lines to everyone driving by.
The store offers generally the same merchandise, but now is bringing in more furniture—leather couches and chairs and imported wood lines. In addition, a new employee, Noel Stebnitz, is an interior decorator and will come to your home and develop plans working with you, the owner. Previously McCardle and another employee would help with decorations, but did not get into interior design.
Look for the store to offer its usual programs throughout October, November and December. Some of this year’s donations will go to Second Harvest Food Bank, although McCardle has not yet outlined all the events. Check next month’s Times for a listing of the November and December shopping days and events.
The new store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and stays open on Thursday until 8:30 p.m. You can shop on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.—by Carol Rosen
