CAMPBELL CRIME REPORT
Oct. 2
Robbery
N. San Tomas Aquino Road (Marvelous Nails)
The victim was working when the suspect entered the business. The victim picked up the phone to call 911 because she was concerned. The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse and began to leave. When the victim tried to stop him, he pushed her to the ground. He then fled on foot. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, aged 18-21, 5’10”, 160 lbs, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. A report was taken.

Public Intoxication
W. Campbell Avenue (Kirkwood Plaza)
A 40-year-old male suspect was intoxicated and pushing his shopping cart into traffic. The cart collided into a passing vehicle but caused no damage to the vehicle. The suspect was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself.

Battery, Public Intoxication
Michael Drive
The 44-year-old male suspect was drinking and became aggressive and was asked to leave the apartment. The suspect threw the victim to the ground before leaving. He was then thrown out of the apartment by several males. The suspect then smashed a window of his friend’s vehicle with a hammer. The friend declined to prosecute the suspect for vandalism. The suspect was arrested.

Dangerous Dog
S. Bascom Avenue (Tower Records)
A female suspect, 47, was walking her dog in front of Tower Records. The dog has a history with animal control as being a dangerous dog and was required to have a muzzle in public. The suspect did not have a muzzle on the dog and it bit a victim in the leg causing a break in the skin. The dog was confiscated by animal control and the suspect was cited.

Child Endangerment, Theft
S. Winchester Boulevard (Safeway)
A 42-year-old male suspect entered the store with an empty backpack and his two children, ages 3 and 7. The suspect filled the backpack full of merchandise and left the store without paying. Security attempted to detain the suspect outside of the store and he fled. He ran through the parking lot with the 3-year-old in his arms. When the suspect took off he left his 7-year-old behind, unattended. The suspect ran to the Fun Fest at St. Lucy’s, where he was caught. He had prior theft convictions.

Indecent Exposure
Dell Avenue (Los Gatos Creek Park)
A female victim was leaving the park and walking to her car and the suspect walked towards her and said something the victim could not understand. When the victim looked at the suspect he was exposing himself through his open pants zipper. The suspect then walked into the park and out of sight. The suspect was described as a white, male, aged 30-40 years, 5’9” to 6’0”, 190 to 200 lbs., with black hair, wearing a jersey and blue jeans. A report was taken.

Battery
E. Campbell Ave. (Campbell Liquors)
A 39-year-old female got into a fight with a 32-year-old female in front of the liquor store. Upon arrival, officers broke up the fight and a subsequent records check showed the suspect had a $25,000 warrant for her arrest out of San Bernadino County for petty theft. The victim had substantial bite marks on her arms and legs, which the suspect admitted doing. The suspect was arrested.

Making Obscene Phone Calls
W. Hamilton Avenue (Negeen Restaurant)
An unknown suspect has called the victim’s business everyday for 30 days, yelling obscenities in two different languages at the employees and hanging up. Calls came from a private number. A report was taken.

Vandalism, Driving Under the Influence
Camden Avenue
A 35-year-old female suspect rammed her car through her ex-boyfriend’s shop door several times. The suspect rammed three cars in the shop before fleeing. She was located on Cherry at Branham Lane and was found to be driving under the influence. She was arrested.

Public Intoxication
Hacienda Avenue
A 29-year-old suspect was partially naked and stumbling in the roadway due to his extreme intoxicated condition. He was arrested.

Making Obscene Phone Calls
S. Winchester Boulevard (Russian Café and Deli)
An unknown suspect made approximately 30 phone calls to the business threatening to “close their business.”
Oct. 25
Terroristic Threats
Latimer Avenue
A suspect called his ex-girlfriend and said he was going to cut the victim’s throat and kill her family. A report was taken.
Oct. 26
Arson
Hamilton Avenue (VTA Station)
An unknown suspect lit a garbage can on fire. It was extinguished by a VTA conductor. A report was taken.
