CAMPBELL CRIME REPORT
11/1: Theft
Manchester Avenue at Sheffield Avenue
A 33-year-old victim reported that an unknown suspect stole her purse from her unlocked van as she was walking her kids to school. 11/4: Assault
Nello Drive at Echo Avenue
An 18-year-old male was walking in the neighborhood with his girlfriend when two Hispanic males pulled up in a vehicle and confronted him. The victim was struck in the head with an unknown hard object. The victim was treated and released at the scene for a head laceration.
11/04: Drunk in Public
Winchester Boulevard (St. Lucy’s)
A 41-year-old male suspect was causing a disturbance at the church and was arrested.
11/15: Identity Theft
Abbey Lane
An unknown suspect used the victim’s social security number to remove funds from a checking account for child support in Orange Support.
11/16: Elder Abuse
Jeffers Way
A 19-year-old white female struck her great grandmother with a shoe. She was arrested.
11/16: Child Abuse
Burrows Avenue
Police responded to the Los Gatos Community Hospital emergency room after an 8-year-old victim was brought in by his grandmother. He had a one-inch laceration on his forehead and claimed to have been pushed against a marble dresser by his mother. The police went to the victim’s house and found his mother inebriated and there were blood drops on the carpet and dresser and bloody towels which corroborated the victim’s story. The mother was arrested and the victim was taken to the children’s shelter.
11/17: Animal Abuse
Hamilton Avenue (Larkspur Landing)
The victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal argument. During the argument the suspect threw the victim’s 5-month old dog to the ground and broke its’ foot. The suspect fled the scene. A report was sent to the District Attorney.
11/19: Assault
More Avenue (Rolling Hills Middle School)
A 12-year-old victim was cut on the hand by the suspect when she tried to break up a fight between the suspect and another student. This occurred after a play at the school. Officers were unable to locate suspect.
11/28: Robbery
Winchester Blvd. at Camden Ave. (Bus Stop)
A 23-year-old male victim was approached by two suspects in a newer black Jeep CJ model with a soft plastic top. The suspects demanded the victim’s money and his wallet. One suspect had his hand in his sweatshirt pocket and stated that he had a gun. The suspects fled with the property southbound on Winchester Boulevard. Suspect #1 is a white male juvenile, 16-18 years, 5’8”, 135 pounds with a goatee, brown hair, gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans. Suspect #2 is a white male juvenile, 16-18 years, 5’8”, 135 pounds, dark brown hair, brown shirt and blue shorts.
11/27: Theft
S. Bascom Avenue (Weinerschnitzel Restaurant)
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s purse from a table at the restaurant. The next day someone called the victim’s mother and said they would give back the victim’s cell phone for $25.
12/1: Impersonating a Police Officer
Winchester Boulevard at Rincon Avenue
A suspect was contacted at his home regarding three incidents of impersonating a police officer. On this date the suspect got into an altercation with a reporting party as she was exiting the Rotten Robbies gas station on Winchester Boulevard. According to the reporting party the suspect activated a rotating red light in the rear window of his vehicle, began taking pictures of the reporting party with a camera/cell phone and yelled at her. The reporting party saw Sheriffs stickers on the car and felt that the suspect may have some association with law enforcement. The victim did not desire prosecution. Dispatchers did some research and found two additional incidents involving the same vehicle and similar activity in November. Officers made contact with the suspect at his home, and he was advised of potential criminal violation if this activity continues.
