Campbell Kiwanis Club joins giant interclub meeting
Six members the Campbell Kiwanis Club joined 95 other South Bay Kiwanians at a giant interclub meeting hosted by the Willow Glen club on Wednesday, Nov. 24.. Kiwanis Clubs throughout the Bay Area were invited to attend, and this one brought members from as close as Cambrian Park to as far away as Fremont. While most of those attending the annual luncheon on the day before Thanksgiving are Kiwanians, there were also a few Lions, Optimists and Rotary Club members. NBC 11 KNTV’s sports director, Raj Mathai, was the guest speaker. After a hearty lunch and some sports talk, the raffle began. Local businesses and Kiwanians donated a number of gifts with about 75 to 100 items.
Awaiting the raffle are Campbel Kiwanis members (clockwise from the left) Dr. Bruce Watson, Joe Talmadge, past president Jim Free, Lucille Free, and past presidents Marilyn West and Al Robbins.
