New banners brighten downtown Campbell streets

Downtown Campbell has a bright new look thanks to Bay Area artist Sonya Paz who donated her talent and time to create eye catching artwork for new banners throughout downtown. Paz created two different banner designs to adorn the dark green antique lamp posts and some of the large streetlights on the loop street gateways. City staff worked with Paz on designing art that would convey the message to “Shop with Us” / “Dine with Us” and support the downtown community.

When the opportunity arose to develop this banner design Paz said “she saw it as her chance to give back to the community. Customers want to feel great about coming here and this new look should brighten more than just the downtown streets, it should make you smile.” Paz’s pop art paintings, jewelry, and distinctive merchandise are showcased at her exclusive downtown Campbell gallery and featured in corporate and private collections throughout the U.S. and internationally. She will be celebrating a recent expansion and grand opening of Sonya Paz Fine Art Gallery on Friday, Dec. 5 at 5-9 p.m. at 195 E. Campbell Ave.
