No pardon for this turkey
Weighing in at 280 pounds, the world’s largest turkey ran from 40 feather-plucking, 5-year-old kindergarteners dressed as pilgrim hats and Native American headbands the day before Thanksgiving. At 6’4”, Campbell Christian School’ Principal Dr. Shawn Stewart flees from the kids dressed in a feather turkey jumpsuit with a sign on his back with pictures of a cow, chicken and pig asking, “what about the other guys?”
“This is my eighth year as the world’s largest turkey,” said Stuart who was an all-American football player for the UCLA Bruins. “It’s one of our favorite traditions at Campbell Christian. Most of the time, I’m serious, but dressed as a turkey, I’m fair game. Our kindergarteners delight in chasing me around, ganging up on me and plucking all my feathers off. It’s fun!”
