All dogs go to heaven... if they live in Campbell

If you are one of those people who wonders what dogs dream about, the new Los Gatos Creek Dog Park will probably paint you a picture. Residents now have an off-the-leash park in which their furry friends can roam in an open area designed especially for them.
The park, which officially opened to the public on Sunday, Dec. 4, features doggie fountains and separate playgrounds for large and small dogs that contain natural toys, such as boulders and logs (and lots of places to do your, ahem…business). Read more...

A tribute to soldiers taken too soon

As critical as we are about our own accomplishments, deciding how to edit our life stories down to five-minute snippets would be daunting enough. Doing the same for a husband, a son, or a brother after suddenly losing them to a hail of gunfire or a roadside bomb is merciless—yet, healing.
As local World War II veterans took their seats inside the Montgomery Theater Thursday afternoon, a very different group of war-torn civilians took their places backstage. Read more...
